Terms and Conditions
You are either my client or the parent or guardian of my client.
Confidentiality
All individual client sessions are confidential. Exceptionally, where there is a risk of harm or when required by law, I may need to make limited disclosure to an appropriate third party.
In keeping with good practice, I take my work into consultation with other qualified professionals from time to time. The consultation contract is subject to the same rules of confidentiality as between the client and myself. Client identity and specific circumstances are sufficiently disguised to ensure complete anonymity.
From time to time, I am required to demonstrate my professional competence by writing case studies and adding to the professional body of research. Client identity and specific circumstances are sufficiently disguised to ensure complete anonymity.
GDPR
Any personal data I collect from you, or that you provide to me, will be stored and processed confidentially. Your contact information and session notes may be stored digitally, in which case they will be password-protected. Any paper-based contact information and session notes will be securely stored. All session notes are anonymised, using your initials only. I will retain session notes after therapy has finished for a further period of up to one year, in case you decide to return to therapy, after which any notes will be destroyed.

Fees and payment
Sessions are charged at £110 per fifty minute therapy session or as agreed with your health insurer. All fees are payable in advance, within five days of submission of the invoice and no later than 5 pm on the day before the therapy session, unless otherwise agreed.
If your therapy sessions are provided by a private health insurer you are liable for any excess charges that may apply according to the terms of your policy, including as a result of the annual renewal of your membership policy. You are personally liable for any shortfall that may occur whilst receiving therapy though your private health insurer. Any shortfall incurred will be subject to the same terms stated above.

Outstanding fees and late payment
Any late payment of fees will incur a late payment charge and interest may also be applied. Any fees that remain unpaid after a period of time, as determined by the therapist, may be pursued through a small claims court or other debt collection method and will include any legal or other costs incurred.
Cancellation
Sessions cancelled with less than a 24-hour notice period from the time of the session will be charged. With sufficient notice of cancellation, and where possible, you will be offered an alternative appointment.
Professional & ethical conduct
I abide by the Code of Ethics and Practice of The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), The British Psychological Society (BPS), and The United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapy (UKCP). Should you have any complaints, please refer to the relevant regulatory body for guidance.
